Youngest captain in Starfleet, which is saying something. Or, well, maybe not. A lot of those guys are pretty old.
Anyway, if you don't know my story, you've probably been living under a rock for the past couple of decades. It's kind of a lengthy thing, so I'll give you the quick and dirty: my dad died when I was born, I got recruited into Starfleet, I kicked Nero's ass and saved the Earth, and then I became captain of the Enterprise.
I won't get into the other gritty details.
Height: 6' 1/2
Markings/scars/tattoos: A hash of scars across his back from an event he refuses to talk about. Those are now accompanied by bite marks just about everywhere on his torso. Then there's always the other miscellaneous scars...
Allergies: BLUEBERRIES, just about all nuts (except almonds and hazelnuts), peas, shellfish, some spices, and just about every medication ever made, plus a whole bunch of other stuff.
Handedness: Right-handed, working on becoming ambidexterous.
Skills: Being a captain of a starship means that Jim's had to learn to be a jack-of-all-trades. He's learned everything from piloting to communications to engineering to hand-to-hand and firearms combat skills, amongst other things. He's a pretty knowledgeable guy.
Quirks: He has this thing about being picked up and carried......
Bad Habits/Vices:
- Drinking
- Sex. Lots of sex.
- Eating too much of things that are entirely unhealthy. Like bacon. And cinnamon buns.
Phobias/Fears: This man knows not the meaning of fear. Save when his best friends are in danger. Except maybe for ghosts. Ghosts are fucking scary.
Key life experiences:
- Father died when he was born
- His brother ran away when they were kids
- They were reunited when Jim was 14, but Frank shipped them off to live with some relatives on Tarsus, and then the famine came. Jim and Sam were part of a small group of rebel kids who'd gotten away, and long story short, once they were finally caught, Sam was killed. Jim was the only one who made it out alive. He still blames himself for Sam's death.
- After that, he became a delinquent with absolutely no direction in his life
- Pike kicked him into Starfleet in 2255, when he was 22, and pretty much saved him from himself
- Then, in 2258, he defeated Nero and got captaincy of the Enterprise
- 2259, Khan showed up. Jim died. Temporarily.
Favorite music: Anything he can dance and sing along to. Badly.
Favorite books: Most anything he can get his hands on, he'll read. Especially if he's bored, and especially if it's an old, paper book.
Favorite shows: Supernatural, Mythbusters, Sciency and/or urban myth shows, Top Gear
Favorite movies: Sharktopus, Gamer, Captain America, Ninja Assassin
Favorite food: Jell-O, cinnamon buns and other pastries, root beer, pizza, kielbasa, bacon, and John's fries
